Workshops

Delve into the geological history of Scotland with Scottish Geologist…

Take a journey through geological time and learn about the different rock types you can find across Scotland…

Workshops are available for private groups of 30 people max or as individual bookings onto one of our planned workshops which can be found below. There is no requirement for anyone to have a background in geology and all workshops are of introductory level.

Learn the basics

Gain a solid understanding of how rocks and minerals are formed and classified. Learn about plate tectonics and how the Earth formed. Learn how to differentiate between igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks.

Hands on experience

Examine various rock and mineral samples to identify there unique characteristics. Each rock tells a story like a page in a book - It’s all about learning how you can ‘read’ that book by analysing the different minerals, textures and structures within that rock that tells you that story.

Interactive Q&A

Engage with Luisa during a question and answer session to deepen your geological knowledge.

Special Guest

Meet Yura the Utonagan, Luisa’s dog who often features in her educational videos.
